Copenhagen Wings is an aircooled Volkswagen club, founded by a group of Volkswagen owners in the spring of 1996. The club is based, as the name suggests, in Copenhagen. The club is for everyone with an aircooled Volkswagen, regardless of its type or condition, just as long as its aircooled.

The purpose of the club is to spread the love and knowledge of the aircooled Volkswagen, as well as to hold meetings, enjoy the company of other owners, exchange ideas and stories, take the cars for a cruise in the countryside or Copenhagen and to drive together to meetings both at home and abroad.

Why the name “Wings”??
Before the club was founded, the group of VW owners had T-shirts and jackets made. On these was a logo showing the VW logo with wings, as the old VW’s are, of course, air-cooled.

Later, when the club was founded, everyone agreed that the wings should be kept in some form or another, so they ended up being part of the name – Copenhagen Wings.
